Section Hiking Appalachian Trail
A favorite way to hike the Appalachian Trail and just as quickly becoming frowned
on by purists, is a way called
section hiking. Section Hiking as the name implies, is
hiking a part of the Appalachian Trail and then getting off the trail. At a later time you
come back and hike another section. You repeat this as many times as it takes until
you finish the trail. This is an easy way to hike whenever and however long you
can. If it takes you 10 years, that’s fine.
